Privacy policy
What we keep, what for, who else sees it and how to ask us to delete it.
01In two lines
We keep your email, your name if you entered it and what you bought, plus what you enter in our tools. Only if you accept the cookie notice do we use the Meta Pixel to measure our ads. When you buy, we tell Meta there was a purchase, with your email encrypted. We don't sell your data and we never see your card details.
The person responsible for your data is María José Sicco (By Majo Studio), CUIT (Argentine tax ID) 27-43930536-9, Humboldt 2457, Palermo, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Contact: hola@bymajostudio.com.
02What we keep
- Your email, to tie the purchase to you, send you the receipt and let you into your account.
- Your name, if you entered it.
- Your password, encrypted, with a method that can't be reversed. Nobody can read it.
- Your orders: which product, what day, with what payment method and for how much.
- Technical order data: your IP address, your browser and which ad or link you came from, if applicable.
- What you write to us in the contact form or when you join the waiting list.
- What you enter in the audit, the agents or the document: your profile, your screenshots, your brand's details, your contact and the result that was generated.
03What we use it for
- To give you what you bought and send you receipts and access links.
- To remind you, once, of a payment left unfinished.
- To send you news, only if you signed up. You can unsubscribe anytime.
- To answer you if you write to us.
- To know which ads bring us sales.
- For accounting obligations.
04Who else sees it
We don't sell or hand over your data. For the site to work, these services process it:
- Vercel hosts the site, the database and the files.
- Mercado Pago and PayPal process payments, under their own policies.
- Resend sends the site's emails.
- Brevo keeps the customer and news lists.
- Anthropic (Claude) generates the audit, the agents and the document with what you enter, under its API terms, which don't use that content to train its models.
- Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram), as explained below.
Some of these services have servers outside Argentina, so your data may be stored in other countries.
05Cookies and Meta
The ones the site needs. Two session cookies remember that you signed in to your account and are deleted when you close the browser. Browser storage keeps your cart and which ad or link you came from.
The Meta Pixel. It only loads if you tap "Accept" on the cookie notice. If you reject, it doesn't load and the site works the same. It's used to measure our ads and show them to similar people or to people who have already been here. It collects the pages you view, clicks to WhatsApp, whether you buy and browser identifiers, like your IP address and its cookies. Meta also handles that data under its own policy and may combine it with your Facebook or Instagram account. You can change your decision anytime from "Cookie settings", at the bottom of every page: if you reject after accepting, we delete its cookies and it stops measuring.
When you buy. This doesn't use cookies and doesn't depend on the notice. Our server tells Meta there was a purchase (order number, products and total), with your email encrypted in a code that can't be reversed, your IP address, your browser and, if you came from an ad, that click's identifier. If you don't want us to report your purchase, write to us at hola@bymajostudio.com.
Mercado Pago and PayPal may set their own cookies on their sites.
06If you use Mimitos
What you enter about your pets stays in your account and only you can see it. The collar QR shows just enough for someone to bring them back. What we read with AI goes through Anthropic (Claude); booklet photos are not stored.
The Mimitos app is in Spanish for now, so its buttons and screens appear in Spanish. Here we translate their names; "Me fui" ("I left") and "Preguntale" (Ask Mimitos) are how they appear in the app.
Mimitos is an online tool for your pets' health and routine. To use it, you enter data into your account.
What we store, in your account:
- Each pet's details: name, species, breed, sex, date of birth, color and markings, temperament, microchip, weight and photos.
- Their health: vaccines, parasite treatments, check-ups, vet visits, health conditions, surgeries, allergies, medication, symptoms you note down and test results (blood work, X-rays, ultrasounds) as photos or PDFs.
- Expenses, food, travel plans and private notes.
- Phone numbers: yours (if you add it for the QR), your vet's and the emergency clinic's, and the contact you leave for the pet sitter, with your instructions.
- What the pet sitter logs from their link: whether the pet ate, went for a walk, got a medication, a note and the name they entered.
- If you tap "Let me know when I can renew", your email and the date, so we can tell you. We don't charge you anything.
Where. On Vercel. Data and photos in its database; test results and the videos of up to 15 seconds you upload in "Something happened" in private Vercel storage (Blob), in a folder for your account, opened through a link that expires after 10 minutes.
What we read with AI. We send Anthropic (Claude), only to turn it into data you review before saving:
- Booklet photos, if you use "take a photo of the booklet". We don't keep them.
- Test results you upload, or bring in from your email or a link. Those are kept in your account and are also sent to Anthropic to read the date, type, lab and a summary. If a PDF has more than 20 pages, the first 20 are sent. When a test result comes from your email, we also send your pets' names, species and breeds, to suggest which pet it belongs to.
- If you use Ask Mimitos, what is explained below.
Anthropic processes them under its API terms, which do not use that content to train its models. We store how many smart imports and pages you used in the period, and how many per day, for the usage limits.
The collar QR. If you create the QR, anyone who scans it sees a page with the pet's photo, name, species, breed, sex, color, markings and temperament, your name and phone number if you chose to show them (in lost mode they're always shown) and the notice that the pet is lost. It shows nothing about health, except one urgent note (for example, an allergy) if you mark it to be shown. When someone opens the page:
- We store the date and time, and the approximate city, region and country based on their connection. We don't store their IP address: we only use it, turned into a one-way code, to apply usage limits for one hour.
- If that person chooses to, they can share their location (only if they tap the button and their browser asks for permission), their name, phone number and a message. That reaches you and nobody else.
- Everything goes into a scan log in your account: the last 50 are kept and each one deletes itself after 90 days. You can clear it sooner from the app.
- If you use Ask Mimitos, the finder's name and message may go into the summary sent to Anthropic, along with the date and approximate city of each scan. The phone number and location don't. The public page tells whoever opens it.
The pet-sitter link shows whoever you send it to the instructions, medication with its schedule, the vet, your contact and what was logged in the last 10 days. It turns itself off one day after the "until" date you set (with no date, 30 days after it was created), and you can turn it off sooner anytime. What the sitter logs is kept for 90 days.
Vets nearby. If you use it, we send Google (Places) your location rounded to about 100 meters, or the neighborhood or address you type. We use it to bring up the vets, pet shops and emergency clinics in the area. Our server doesn't store your location or the list: for 24 hours it keeps only the IDs of the places it showed you. If you tap "Save as my area", a short area name with rounded coordinates is kept in your account, and you can delete it anytime. If you save your vet or emergency clinic, its name, address and phone number are kept in your account. Google shows the map directly in your browser, under its own privacy rules.
Reminders. If you turn on phone notifications, we store the subscription your browser gives us (an address on Google's, Apple's or Mozilla's notification service and its keys) to send you reminders for vaccines, flea treatments, food, the monthly check and QR scans. Notifications travel encrypted. If you turn on email, Brevo sends them. We also store which reminders you turned off and which we already sent, so we don't repeat them (forgotten after 60 days).
How long. As long as your account exists. If you delete a pet, its data is deleted and its links stop working; its photos, videos and test results are deleted within 24 hours (you can undo during the first 30 minutes). The scan log deletes itself after 90 days. If the Mimitos purchase is refunded, the public links stop showing data.
Deleting and taking your data. From Account you can export a copy of everything as a file. You can delete each record, test result or pet from the app. If you want us to delete all your Mimitos data or your whole account, email hola@bymajostudio.com and we'll do it within 10 business days.
If you use "Ask Mimitos"
It's optional. It lets you ask about what you entered, for example when the last flea treatment was or how much you spent this month.
- What is sent and to whom. Each time you ask, we send Anthropic (Claude) your question, the last questions and answers of that conversation (up to 6) and a text summary of what you entered in Mimitos: your pets' details (including microchip), vaccines and parasite treatments, weights, expenses, medication, food, health conditions, allergies, surgeries, symptoms and notes, vet visits, test results (date, type, lab and the summary you saved), your vet and emergency clinic with their phone numbers, QR scans with their date and approximate city, the messages left through the QR (the finder's name and message) and what the sitter logged. We don't send your photos, test result files, your email or your phone number, or the finder's phone number or location. If you have a lot of data, we send the most recent.
- What for. Only to answer that question. We don't use this data for ads, sell it or use it to train AI models.
- What we keep. The conversation isn't stored on our servers: it stays in that browser tab until you close it or tap "New conversation". On the server we only keep how many questions you asked (for the limit of 150 per calendar month and 30 a day) and the month's total usage, without your data or your questions.
- What it doesn't do. Mimitos answers only with what you entered and tells you where each fact comes from. It isn't a vet: it doesn't diagnose, recommend treatments or doses, or say whether something is serious. For any health concern, see your vet.
If you connect your Gmail to Mimitos
It's optional and available to everyone who bought Mimitos. It finds the test results, prescriptions and vet reports you were emailed and adds them to your pets' health history. While Google reviews Mimitos, Google limits how many accounts can connect their Gmail: if that quota fills up, we tell you before you connect and you can use Outlook or upload the results yourself.
- What permission we ask for. Only to read your Gmail (gmail.readonly). Mimitos can't send, delete or change emails, and doesn't.
- What we read. When you tap "Search", we ask Gmail for emails matching vet-related words, your pets' names or the vets and labs we know (the ones you entered, added by hand and the senders of what you already imported). From each email we use the subject, sender, date and each attachment's name, type and size, only to show them to you so you can choose. In Gmail, also the email's category (for example, Promotions) and whether it has an unsubscribe option, to leave out ads and newsletters.
- The text of vet emails. If an email already looks like it's from your vet or lab and doesn't include the result as an attachment, we read its text at that moment only to find the link to the result. The text isn't stored or sent to anyone. Emails that don't look vet-related aren't read.
- Results sent as a link. If you choose to import a result that came as a link, our server downloads it from the lab's page (without your cookies or passwords) and it follows the same path as an attachment. If the page asks you to sign in, nothing is downloaded and we offer to let you open it yourself.
- What we store. The files you choose to import, in your account's private storage; Google's access permission, encrypted; the connected address, search range and date of the last search; the IDs of what you already imported; if applicable, the queue of selected items that didn't fit the limit; and the senders that help us find your results (the ones you type in and the address of whoever sent each imported result), which you can remove, and the ones you marked as "Not my pet's" (just their address), which you can re-enable. We store nothing from emails you don't import. In your browser, the results list stays for up to 2 hours so you don't lose it if you step out to read an email, and it's deleted when you sign out.
- Who we share it with. Each file you import is sent to Anthropic (Claude) to read the date, type of result, a summary and which pet it seems to belong to. You review everything before saving. We don't use your Gmail data for ads, sell it or use it to train AI models. Nobody reads it, unless you ask us to for support on a specific file, for security or because the law requires it.
- How to stop it. In Mimitos, Account, tap "Disconnect": we revoke the permission at Google and delete the encrypted permission, search date, queue and import list. Results already imported stay in your history until you delete them. You can also revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Limited Use. Mimitos's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
If you connect your Microsoft email (Outlook, Hotmail, Live or Microsoft 365)
- What permission we ask for. To read your emails and attachments (Mail.Read), keep the connection without you signing in each time (offline_access) and your email address, only to show which mailbox you connected. Mimitos can't send, delete or change emails, and doesn't.
- What we read and store. The same as with Gmail: the subject, sender, date and attachments of matching emails; the text only of emails that already look vet-related and have no attachment, to find the link, without storing it; the files you choose to import, the encrypted permission, the address, range, date of the last search, what you already imported, the queue, the learned senders, the ones you typed in and the ones you marked as "Not my pet's". We store nothing from emails you don't import. In your browser, the results list stays for up to 2 hours so you don't lose it if you step out to read an email, and it's deleted when you sign out.
- Who we share it with. As with Gmail: each file you import goes to Anthropic (Claude) to be read, and we don't use this data for ads, sell it or use it to train models.
- How to stop it. In Mimitos, Account, tap "Disconnect" and we delete the encrypted permission and everything stored for that mailbox. Microsoft doesn't let an app remove its own permission: to remove it completely, go to account.live.com/consent/Manage (personal account) or myapps.microsoft.com (work or school account).
If you use "Me fui" and the Mimitos Camera. Both are optional. They only run if you turn them on.
- What "Me fui" stores. When you left and came back, which pets stayed, the alert time you chose and, if you entered it, the email of whoever looks after them, who gets the alert through Brevo.
- The camera phone's microphone. It's analyzed on that phone, to recognize barking, howling, meowing, whining and crying. The audio never leaves it and isn't recorded. To analyze it, the phone downloads the sound program and model from jsDelivr and Google: they receive that request, not your audio.
- What reaches us from the camera. Only the event: which sound, what time, how long and how confident it is. We keep the last 7 days. We also store the camera's name, the pet, when it was last seen and its sensitivity. The camera phone's key is stored as a one-way code.
- Live video. It goes directly from one phone to the other and isn't recorded. It only happens when you open it from your account. To connect them, our server briefly relays the connection's technical data, which includes IP addresses, and a Google server (STUN) sees each phone's IP address. If you turn it on, you can also listen and talk over that channel.
- People near the camera. They may appear in the live video or speak near the microphone. Don't point it at people without their knowledge and agreement.
- How to turn it off. On the camera phone, "Apagar cámara". From your account, "Desconectar": it stops right away. If you delete your Mimitos data, the cameras and outings are deleted too.
07How long we keep it
Your account and what you entered, as long as the account exists or until you ask us to delete them. Orders, for as long as accounting obligations require. Mimitos has its own time frames, in its section.
08Your rights
You can, free of charge and at any time, see what we have about you, correct it or ask us to delete it. Write to us at hola@bymajostudio.com and we'll do it within 10 business days.
